2000 -

2000 - Apogee and PPG Industries combine U.S. automotive replacement glass distribution businesses to form PPG Auto Glass; Apogee has a 34 percent interest in new entity.

2004 - Apogee sells Harmon AutoGlass, its retail auto replacement glass business, to focus on growth opportunities in its architectural and picture framing glass businesses.

2004 - Viracon supplies energy-efficient glass for the 101-story Taipei 101 in Taiwan, currently the world's tallest building.

2004 - Apogee added architectural capacity through expansion of its Statesboro, Georgia, glass fabrication plant and purchase of glass installer, Architectural Wall Solutions, Inc.

2005 - Viratec consolidated into Tru Vue to focus large-scale optical segment on providing value-added glass for the custom picture framing market.

2007 - New Viracon architectural glass fabrication plant opens in St. George, Utah, and Curvlite auto replacement glass and RV/bus windshield manufacturing capacity converted to architectural glass fabrication.

2007 - Tubelite, which manufactures aluminum storefront, entrance and curtainwall systems for U.S. commercial construction markets, acquired.
